This full-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about visual storytelling and capable of translating complex ideas into compelling visuals. Responsibilities

  • Creative Design: Develop visually appealing graphics for digital and print media, including social media posts, website graphics, advertisements, brochures, and more.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms and materials.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing and web development teams to create designs that align with campaign goals and enhance user experience.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings to understand design requirements and provide creative input, ensuring client satisfaction with the final output.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of WordPress development, including advanced custom theme and plugin development, as well as a proven track record in creating robust and scalable web solutions. You will lead projects and collaborate closely with design and marketing teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our clients. This role includes clear performance targets, and the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving these targets. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who can contribute to the company’s growth and help drive innovation within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development team and oversee the development, customisation, and maintenance of complex WordPress websites, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
  • Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client specifications and project requirements.
  • Manage plugin development, customisation, and troubleshooting to enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Optimise websites for speed and performance, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to foster growth and improve team skills.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
  • Contribute to project planning, scoping, and client communication, ensuring successful delivery and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, with a deep understanding of WordPress architecture.
  • Extensive experience in custom theme and plugin development, including experience with advanced custom fields and custom post types.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce) and integration with third-party APIs.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first web development.
  • Familiarity with website optimisation techniques (e.g., caching, minification) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills in Greek and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
